How is nottingham trent university

The areas of Biomedical Science and Engineering both impressed the most. International students are guaranteed a room for at least one year in Nottingham Trent University accommodation. There are 4, self-catering rooms available either on or close to the campus, most of which are en suite.

These are generally arranged in flats or houses, with private bedrooms and a shared kitchen, although studio apartments and shared rooms are also available. Nottingham Trent University has three campuses. Living costs fall below the national average, making it an affordable place to live and the city currently has one of the highest rates of job creation in the UK.

It is famed for its connection to the legend of Robin Hood and tradition as a centre for manufacturing during the Industrial Revolution. Read More. My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested. NTU is very employability focused and helping us build up our skills from the first year.

My lecturers have been very supportive with making sure I'm included since I'm stuck in Myanmar doing first year online. My experience has been good overall in terms of fun and enjoyment. Difficult to learn sometimes with seminars being online, hard to ask questions and get appropriate help when needed.

But they online lectures are good as you can pause them and do them whenever you want. Communication and involvement of my lecturers is amazing- they are all extremely interested in their field and are very supportive and understanding with students.

Access to resources and support is easy and the information provided to help with my employability has been clear. When on campus the environment is fun and enjoyable. However, doing everything online has meant that the full experience of the course was removed which has made it a lot less enjoyable. This has meant that this year has been more about sticking it out till next year instead of enjoying the course. Employability online provided you with information and short courses to help find employers and work experience.

It is really easy to access and takes little time each week. Access to the employability team and the support they give is very easy as well. The library and study areas in each building are really good.

I haven't been able to expertise equipment specific to my course yet. Content communication with the university regarding this. Support is provided in a number of ways: webinars, one to one meetings, email, phone call, group sessions.

Had we been in person, I believe the experience would have been much better. Online classes are unsuitable for universities comfortable with in person teachings.

The online format this year has been of mixed quality. Some lecturers have been engaging and professional whilst others have been completely unprofessional and others completely unsupportive. The in-person facilities are great, lots of places for both silent and spoken study. As somebody who needed support for my mental health, it was horrible.

I have felt very alone during the year not only education wise but also social wise, I ended up staying at home for 2nd term honestly because I was terrified to come back. Although 3 rd term has been great I feel that my university could have provided more accessible support to have made my start easier. I've falling in love with my course and love being at the uni.

Nottingham Trent has got to be the University which is the full package! Clifton Campus is a modern, ever improving campus which offers quality facilities and the best working environment, whilst the City and Brackenhurst Campuses too have some of the best facilities going.

The nightlife in Nottingham is definitely one of the biggest perks for picking Trent, you're not going to be left disappointed, Ocean Wednesday's, Rock City Thursday's and SU on Saturday's are some of the best night outs in the country and I've never had a bad one at Trent! The wide range of societies and sports clubs which Trent offer is second to none and you're bound to find a club which suits you; aided by a Students Union which works tirelessly to tailor you needs.

I can't really fault Trent in any aspects, the student environment is electric and you easily find yourself immersed into a culture where you make friends for life. I'm so glad I chose Trent, and it will be a decision you won't regret. Good atmosphere, literelly right in city centre, lots of night not places. Amazing uni with amazing facilities and opportunities for all students.

The Law school is amazing and the uni makes to feel like you belong with so many events and societies always getting you involved. I am very glad that I have chosen NTU! The only thing which could me improved is - more computers available!

Fantastic uni. All facilities are modern, library is especially impressive, even if you can never get a seat. Most importantly for me though was how amazing the support was there regarding mental illness. This uni went out of its way to make me feel comfortable and happy whilst I was there. Really great place. A great uni. Fantastic resources, fantastic teachers, and a fantastic sense of community.

A great university, especially for creative subjects. Impressive resources that are easy to access, including library, workshops and student union. Write a Review.
