But holy cheese weasels. For the number of players in the area, both events had huge spawn quantities. One event was to defend a submarine from separatist attackers.

There were, I believe, about ten players in the area. I could not even estimate how many separatists there were. I saw at least three waves of separatists enter the water, with about a dozen members of each wave. The point of the event was to kill the saboteurs.

But each saboteur had about as much health as your above-average veteran. It took me several minutes of concentrated effort to take out one. And of course each of the other separatist enemies were high health though not as much as the saboteurs. No surprise that the sub was destroyed, there simply weren't enough people to hold off that scale of enemies. The second event was defending a waypoint from ogres Watchcrag Tower Waypoint, to be precise.

There were only four players for this event. Is there a way to see some sort of total armor class? I can see the armor ratings of my individual pieces, but I don't see any kind of total. I'm past the training area and everything is pretty much a wasteland. Where can I get another pet? One thing I do like: I was able to reassign my attribute points from the pet skills into other skills until I figure out where to get a pet. Is there any reason not to load up with henchmen other than I won't get as much experience or gold?

I'm level 8 and have only upgraded my armor once to leather. Is this normal? Should I have already upgraded further? In the city by the great wall, none of the armor vendors seem to craft anything higher than leather.

Maybe this is because I'm a ranger and can only wear leather? How do I use the dyes? I have a few banked and want to try them.

This is the downside of just downloading the client - no manual! I like MMO's, but I prefer to solo. WoW was great as a druid, but I couldn't do instances without a group. GW is right up my alley. I can hire the henchmen and never have to speak to anyone. Take that MMO community! I have an elder black widow, it begins at lv20 and can only be found in the UnderWorld in your continent.

I'm not sure if there is another more powerful pet? I'm now on the 3rd continent and have come a long way soloing. This is an effect of how the combat system works.

When someone makes a successful hit, that hit is assigned to a particular area on a character passed on a static percentage; the torso is highest, feet are lowest, arms and head are somewhere in the middle If you carry a shield, it only comes into the equation if the hit was made to the front of your character facing the blow ; if you retreat or take the hit to the back, you never get the shield's bonus.
