I let it run for about an hour but still blinking blue LED and fans full speed. It boots up but I am getting error codes via the LED's that the drive is damaged 2 blinks on some restarts and 3 on others.

So I pull the drives and put them in another machine to run WD Lifeguard on them. One drive is bad error code and the other reports fine. I pull the bad drive and put the good one back in my ReadyNAS. So I try the "soft" reset, wait an hour and still fans full and blinking led.
